Recently, I have matched with a friendly family that I love them very much. When I write down this letter, my heart can’t calm down, because after long time matching, finally I have matched with a family. When it comes to matching, there is a long story more than I can say. In totally, I have matched with 9families, at last I received the offer from my 7th family. We only had two interviews and then within one hour I have received an offer. Before the first interview we had many emails to have an open, relaxing, funny communication about some questions they asked me and I asked them. I can feel that they like me very much, so do I. Every time we had interview, their laughers have left a good impression on me. I also like laughing and smiling. So it is very easy and relaxing for me to talk to them. I can see that they have strong sense of humor like me. So we have a lot in common. There are full of love, relax, energy in our host family. They are so flexible and very kind to anything. This is a very interesting family, I think.
During matching, I am busy every day. Because I found a part time job related to children, and in my free time, I improved my skills like cooking, driving and looked for something that I had interest in. I also know that learning to follow people’s advice is a good way to reexamine myself. So I listened to my teachers and have read some books to help me take it easy and calm down. In fact, at the beginning I want to choose a city that I like in the US, but after matching with several families, I have found a truth that matching with a family I like is much more important than going to a city that I like.
From attending this Au Pair program, every time I have challenged myself and made some decisions that I never thought before. When I failed to match with former family, Lina, Ellen, Grace and Eric have talked to me a lot and encouraged me to have more positive attitude and prepare better. They gave me courage and helped me to build more confidence. Thank you so much! And I also say thank you to my friends who used to help me. At last, I want to say that don’t be rush, just prepare yourself well. And then a suitable family will come into your life. If you have spent long time on matching, but you haven’t matched with, just let it go! Please don’t lose your patience and confidence, just believe that the last is the best!
